Pistol Applications

Pistol permits are issued through the Chief of Police in the town in which you reside. The cost of the permit is $10.00 and is valid for four years from the date of issue. In order to obtain a pistol permit, an applicant must  provide his/her driver's license with Hillsboro as the primary address, be 18 years of age, and have a criminal record check free of felony convictions. The Police Department will obtain a criminal record check on the individual, and note any felony or violent crimes that may prevent the issuance of the permit. Domestic violence - related crimes may prevent the issuance of a permit.

Pistols applications can be obtained at Police Department or you may download the form at www.state.nh.us/safety/nhsp/dssp85.pdf . Completed forms can be dropped off or mailed to the Police Department.

Accident/Incident Reports

REQUEST BY MAIL or FAX:

Please fill out the Request of Accident/Incident Report Form and attach a clear photocopy of your valid State or Federal issued picture ID. The ID copy must accompany each request.

Motorist Accident Report

If you were involved in a motor vehicle accident and the police responded you are not required to file an operator report. If the police did not respond, and the damages were over $1,000.00 or someone was injured, you must file an Operator Report
